Market
A prediction market focused on a specific event or match. Each market contains multiple possible outcomes that users can bet on by purchasing shares.
Market Lock
The point at which a market stops accepting new bets or trades, typically occurring just before the event begins. After market lock, positions are fixed until resolution.
Market Resolution
The process of determining and recording the official outcome of an event. Once resolved, winning shares become claimable and losing shares become worthless.
Outcome
A possible result of an event that users can bet on. For example, in a match between Alice and Bobby, "Alice Wins" and "Bobby Wins" are two separate outcomes.
Prediction Market
A market where participants can bet on the outcome of future events by buying and selling shares that represent different possible outcomes.
Shares
Digital tokens representing a stake in a particular outcome. If your outcome wins, each share is worth 1 USDC. If it loses, shares become worthless.
